Sound is probably the first thing you should pay attention to. Let’s say the sound was good in the old models, but here it’s like they added a couple more layers. It became richer and cleaner. Music sounds like you’re sitting right in the studio and all the instruments surround you. Especially if you’re listening to something with good detail – for example, classical music or complex compositions. It’s nice, you know, when you don’t just hear the notes, but really feel them.
But the most important thing is how the headphones “read” your state. A clever combination of sensors allows them to adapt the sound to the environment and your needs, as if they understand when you need more calm and when you need more powerful sound.
Technically, it is worth noting the new H1 chip, which provides a more stable connection and improved sound processing. With it, not only does the quality not deteriorate at high volume. But the battery life also increases. In general, if a couple of hours was the norm with AirPods before, now you can enjoy music for up to 6 hours in a row on a single charge. And with the case – up to 30 hours, which is enough even for the longest trips.
AirPods 4: A True Noise-Canceling Revolution
But noise suppression is a whole other topic. I expected it to be like in previous models. But here it really cuts out everything around. I even forgot a couple of times that I was in the subway, it felt like I was in my own little world. Of course, this is not a panacea, sometimes noise still breaks through, but for me it was a real discovery. No street sounds or people talking distract me anymore. It’s just awesome. By the way, active noise suppression works through two microphones. They track external noise and automatically suppress it, adjusting to the surrounding environment.
AirPods 4: A True Revolution in Comfort
By the way, another thing I noticed is comfort. When I first put these headphones on, they seemed to fit perfectly. I was always worried that they would fall out or rub, but there was neither. They are so light that you even forget that there is something on your ears. However, I always had a question about how they behave in rainy weather. You know, when you are walking in the rain and listening to your favorite tracks at the same time. I checked it recently – everything is fine. They are not afraid of moisture. Because they comply with the IPX4 standard, which protects against splashes.
AirPods 4: Lasts Longer
I also noticed that they are running low on battery much less often. I don’t know what it’s connected with, but in general, it doesn’t matter how long you use them. In general, the charge lasts longer than I expected. Although, of course, if you turn up the volume or use noise cancellation often, then, as before, the headphones ask for charging a little faster. But these are trifles.

Of the minuses, I can only note the price. Well, as always with Apple. I can’t say that it’s not justified, but still… the price tag bites. However, if you love sound and are ready to invest in comfort, you can take it.
In fact, these headphones are not just a gadget. But a real accessory that has become part of everyday life. Every morning I don’t think about whether I will forget to take them, and voila – they are already in my ears, and the world turns into something pleasant.
